Aluminum skeg  was developed especially for inflatable kayaks. It might be fitted in a special pocket on the bottom. When the bottom is iflated the skeg is fixed tightly. The U-shaped skeg won’t fall out of the pocket and get lost.

The bottom of Zelgear inflatable kayaks has curved shape, so the skeg, installed on the stern, is holding on tightly. You can safely put the boat on the beach and don`t worry about the skeg, it is aluminum and it won’t brake.
